Destination Ghost Tours was founded in 2010 by Chris Allen — a paranormal investigator and historian with more than 25 years in the field, and the author of Destination Ghost: Savannah, a book documenting the city's true hauntings. Before there were tours, there was the research: newspapers, court records, property histories, and firsthand accounts, gathered over decades.
That's the difference you feel on the walk. The stories your guide tells aren't lifted from the internet — many are the same ones documented in the book, drawn from real records. And you'll always hear the line between what's documented, what's folklore, and what's simply unexplained.

Yes — most of our tours are all-ages, with real history and no jump scares or actors, across every city. The main exceptions are two Savannah tours built for older guests: Spirits & Scoundrels (18+) for darker stories, and Haunted Hops, our 21+ pub crawl. Every tour lists its age recommendation, so you can pick the right fit for your group.
Most tours cover roughly a mile at an easy, conversational pace over about 90 minutes to two hours. Wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather — you'll be outside the whole time.
Tours run rain or shine. If severe weather makes a tour unsafe, we'll reschedule you or issue a refund — you'll never lose your booking to a storm.
