The Original Haunted Savannah Tour is where most visitors first understand the city after dark.
As evening settles over the historic district, the streets grow quieter and the stories begin to feel less like history and more like memory. Here, the past is not presented as spectacle or performance. It is revealed through the places where events actually happened, and through accounts that have been repeated long enough to become part of the city itself.
Rather than trying to startle you, the experience gradually changes how Savannah feels around you. Buildings you passed earlier in the day carry different weight, and familiar squares take on an unexpected stillness. By the end of the walk, guests often realize they are no longer just hearing stories about Savannah, they are navigating it differently.

What’s Included
The Original Haunted Savannah Tour includes a guided walking ghost tour through Savannah’s historic district, led by a knowledgeable local guide. Guests will hear haunted legends, eerie folklore, and real history connected to some of Savannah’s most atmospheric streets, squares, and historic locations.
What’s Excluded
Transportation, parking, food, drinks, gratuities, and entry into private buildings or paid attractions are not included. This is an outdoor walking tour, and all stories are told from publicly accessible areas.
Cancellations
Guests may cancel up to 24 hours before the tour for a refund; cancellations made within 24 hours of the tour start time, late arrivals, and no-shows are non-refundable.
Tours operate rain or shine, so please dress for the weather and bring an umbrella or rain jacket if needed.
Tours may be canceled or rescheduled for severe weather or unsafe conditions. If we must cancel your tour, you will be offered the option to reschedule or receive a refund.
Pet Policy
Well-behaved pets are welcome on the Original Haunted Savannah Tour, as long as they remain leashed and under control at all times. Please be respectful of other guests, clean up after your pet, and keep in mind that the tour takes place outdoors on public streets and squares.
Accessibility
The Original Haunted Savannah Tour is wheelchair accessible and takes place outdoors through Savannah’s historic district. Guests should be aware that the route may include city sidewalks, brick pathways, curbs, uneven surfaces, and public squares, which are common in historic Savannah.
For guests who are deaf or hard of hearing, we offer a Tour Companion with written transcripts of the stories so you can follow along during the experience. Please let us know in advance if you would like access to the Tour Companion for your tour.
Where Does the Original Haunted Savannah Tour Begin?
Meeting Location: Lafayette Square
Your tour meets in Lafayette Square, one of Savannah’s most beautiful and historic public squares. Surrounded by moss-draped oaks, stately homes, and the stunning Cathedral Basilica of St. John the Baptist, Lafayette Square offers the perfect place to begin your evening in Savannah’s haunted historic district.
Please arrive a few minutes early so your guide can check everyone in before the tour begins. Your guide will meet the group inside or near the square and will be easy to identify before departure.
Lafayette Square is centrally located and walkable from many downtown hotels, restaurants, and parking areas. Because Savannah’s historic district can be busy, especially at night, we recommend giving yourself extra time to find parking and walk to the meeting point.
