It All Started With a Boy Who Wanted to Be a Ghostbuster

In a small town house where the floorboards whispered and the air felt heavy after dark, a boy grew up surrounded by the unseen. His childhood home was haunted, and his grandparents believed it, too. Their shelves were filled with books about hauntings, ghosts, and the supernatural. He would sit cross-legged on the carpet for hours, thumbing through their pages, trying to understand the mysteries that others only whispered about.

He wanted to be a Ghostbuster, not for the gadgets or fame, but for the truth. While other kids played ball, he prowled through rooms with a camcorder and a tape recorder, trying to capture voices that didn’t belong to the living.

The First Hunts

As a teenager, he and his friends began venturing into cemeteries after sunset, chasing stories and strange lights. The thrill turned to calling when, in the year 2000, he founded the Paulding Paranormal Society. What began as late-night curiosity became the first step into a lifelong pursuit of the unknown.

With PPS, he hosted ghost hunts in his hometown, helping people confront the things that frightened them most. It was no longer about chasing proof; it was about helping others find peace, understanding, and wonder in the unexplainable.

A New Chapter in Savannah

In 2009, his path led him south to the mist-covered streets of Savannah, Georgia—a city where history and hauntings walk side by side. The following year, he opened Haunted Savannah Tours, quickly earning a reputation as one of the city’s top ghost tour companies.

By day he researched, by night he guided, weaving together history, legend, and truth until the two became indistinguishable. He traveled the country as a freelance investigator, drawn to historic ruins, shadowed corridors, and the restless spirits who lingered there. The deeper he went, the more he understood that ghost stories weren’t about the dead—they were about memory, legacy, and the fragile line between the two.

Preserving the Legends

With each tour and investigation, his purpose evolved. The hunt for evidence gave way to something far greater: preservation. Ghosts, he realized, were not merely apparitions—they were stories of forgotten people and silenced voices echoing through time.

His mission became one of remembrance, of keeping those names alive. Haunted Savannah Tours had revealed his calling, but his vision reached beyond one city. It was time to connect the world’s haunted places and their storytellers under a single name.

The Birth of Destination Ghost

Destination Ghost emerged from that idea—a global network for ghost tours, investigations, and exploration. It began with a website and a dream: to map the world’s haunted heritage, one city at a time.

The journey wasn’t easy. Countless nights were spent writing, researching, and building. Many helped along the way—some who remain, and others who have since passed into memory. But together, they formed the foundation of a community devoted to the stories that haunt us all.
